God Calls You Holy Ones

Metaphor: Holy Ones
Concept: Holy Ones can refer to the angels who serve God and to those among men and women who are made Holy by faith in God. For the purpose of our study we will refer to those who are Holy because they have faith in God and live according to His ways.
Deut 33:2 He said, The Lord came from Sinai and beamed upon us from Seir; He flashed forth from Mount Paran, from among ten thousands of holy ones, a flaming fire, a law, at His right hand. AMP  Job 15:15 Behold, He puts no trust in His holy ones, And the heavens are not pure in His sight; NASU Zech 14:5 You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the aearthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord , my God, will come, and all the holy ones with Him! NASU
It is had in our culture many times to speak of those who are holy and have a correct understanding. Holy or pure undefiled ones are defined by being right with or pure before God. We know that this by faith in God, though the blood of the lamb and the righteous declaration of God Himself.
Purity of this kind cannot be gained by human efforts or self actualization. It is only available directly from the One true God and given according to His plan and grace through faith. The Old testament believer was made righteous by faith in God and a life that was in accord with god’s ways before and after the giving of the law and the prophets. In the New Testament righteousness came as a result of faith in God’s Son Jesus Christ and the redemption through His blood.
Today being counted among the Holy Ones of God is a privilege which comes from faith in Jesus as God’s Son and mankind’s Messiah. This comes by grace through faith and God’s unmerited favor toward us as a result of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.
Thank you Lord God that we are counted among your Holy ones!
