Concept: As God’s Inheritance we are His legacy. We have the transmission of genetically controlled characteristics or qualities from God our father as His offspring. Not only do we inherit His Spiritual and Character DNA we inherit His promises and are partakers in the fulfillment of His plans.
Deut 9:29 But they are your people, your inheritance that you brought out by your great power and your outstretched arm."
1 Sam 10:1 Then Samuel took a flask of oil and poured it on Saul's head and kissed him, saying, "Has not the LORD anointed you leader over his inheritance?
Ps 28:9 Save your people and bless your inheritance; be their shepherd and carry them forever.
Ps 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD THE people he chose for his inheritance.
Ps 106:5 that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may share in the joy of your nation and join your inheritance in giving praise.
Isa 19:25 The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying, "Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance."
Jer 51:19 He who is the Portion of Jacob is not like these, for he is the Maker of all things, including the tribe of his inheritance the LORD Almighty is his name.
Joel 3:2 I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat.
There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land. NIV
We understand a little about the inheritance we receive from our earthly parents. But comprehending the inheritance we receive from our heavenly father seems to stretch our ability comprehend all that God has done for us. We know we have yet to receive the full measure of it as we have not received our heavenly bodies and all that will be revealed in the resurrection for us.
This however does not mean that we cannot begin to walk in or enjoy the inheritance of our God and father. Freedom not to be slaves of sin, freedom to forgive ourselves and others as He forgives us. Freedom to live in His will, through His Spirit’s power according to His Word.
Freedom to BE and Do all that Jesus began to do and teach. The Lord Himself said we would do greater thing then He did although the word used means quantity not quality.
We now have the freedom to have the relationship with Him that He created us to have before Lucifer deceived us and we lost that open relationship we had in the garden before we chose to believe Lucifer’s lies instead of God truth
Read and meditate on these verses and the teachings of the New Testament concerning all that Jesus has accomplished to restore God’s plan for you and then realize YOU are God’s Inheritance.
