Concept: We who are adopted children along with the children of promise or the Hebrew people are a part of God’s household.
Eph 2:19: Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God's own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God's [own] household.
1 Tim 3:15: If I am detained, you may know how people ought to conduct themselves in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and stay (the prop and support) of the Truth. AMP
Vincent's Word Studies in the New Testament says of 1 Timothy 3:15 House of God An Old Testament phrase, used of the temple. More frequently, house of "the Lord" see 1 Kings 3:1; 6:1; 1 Chron 22:2,11; 29:2, etc. Applied to the church only here. Paul "householders of the faith" (Gal 6:10), and "householders of God" (Eph 2:19), signifying members of the church. Christians are called , "sanctuary of God" (1 Cor 3:16-17; 2 Cor 6:16); and the apostles "household stewards" (1 Cor 4:1).
I am filled with awe that god would count us to be His children; a part of His household and all that comes with that.
