1 Thess 1:1 PAUL, SILVANUS (Silas), and Timothy, to the assembly (church) of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah): Grace (spiritual blessing and divine favor) to you and [heart] peace. AMP
Those who are in God the father or those who are united to the true God and to the Redeemer. Those who continue in an intimate relation to the Father and the Lord Jesus. The language here is strong and points out that they were a pure and committed church true to the full message and meaning of the Gospel or Good News which God brought in fulfillment of promises and prophecies to and through the Jewish people.
Acts 17:28 tells us ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being; as even some of your [own] poets have said, For we are also His offspring.’ AMP
Today, consider this that we live and move and have our existence in God the father the maker of heaven and earth and in His Son Jesus the Christ through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus as planned and carried out in accordance to the Father’s plan. We are not separate from Him but we exist in Him.
