America a People in Need of a Revelation from God

When you study the founding of our nation it becomes apparent that those who began and established our nation sought God continually to form a nation different than any that had ever existed. A nation where people where free to worship God. It would not be a place of equal outcome but a place of equal opportunity. Where Kings, Governments or a single church did not limit or control your future. It did not matter what trade or class your parents were you could become more by hard work, education and applied creativity.
God was the life giving substance that made liberty real and held the ideas of liberty together. He was the blood that made it both alive and growing. Without Him, His Word and His Vision of true freedom for people, the American experiment is just a bunch good ideas with no way to make them thrive and prosper into a republic in which people had the freedom to become all that we could within the opportunities of this earthly life.

We can be Alive with the life of His vision or we can be running wild, perishing, wandering aimlessly into every form of selfish and unnatural indulgence, cruelty and confusion without it. Throughout America’s history have been those who would ignore or throw off God for their own vision for themselves, other people and our nation. Just as Satan was there in the Garden of Eden trying this very strategy so many others have come seeking to do the same. They usually come questioning what God said and what it meant or completely denying God, His authority or His role in the lives of people. Even His existence has been called into question. They have had many names. If the 1900 they were known as progressives etc.

Today we live in an hour or season where the light of His Gospel has grown dim to many and unknown to many more.

This is the perfect time for a nation wide Great Awakening of the reality, life and power of God and His Vision or plan for humanity.  We the believers in Jesus the Messiah, the Savior and God’s promised deliver must humble ourselves and pray. 2 Chr. 7:14 (NET) if my people, who belong to me, humble themselves, pray, seek to please me, and repudiate their sinful practices, then I will respond from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

Prov. 29:18 (NLT-SE) When people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. But whoever obeys the law is joyful.
Prov. 29:18 (NRSV) Where there is no prophecy, the people cast off restraint, but happy are those who keep the law.
Prov. 29:18 (HCSB) Without revelation, people run wild, but one who listens to instruction will be happy.
Prov. 29:18 (NASB) Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the law.
Prov. 29:18 (AMP) Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man]—blessed (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he.
Barnes notes
Proverbs 29:18 “Divine guidance” refers to words from God received by prophets. Where there is ignorance or rejection of God, crime and sin run rampant. Public morality depends on the knowledge of God, but it also depends on keeping God’s laws. In order for nations and individuals to function well, people must know God’s ways and keep his rules.

ESV Study
Proverbs 29:15–18 Verses 15 and 17 both insist that parents should teach their children, and 16 and 18 both describe a society in upheaval. The chaos of a child out of control is comparable to the chaos of a people who have abandoned integrity and revelation. Verse 18 is notable in that it speaks of both prophetic vision and the law. The teachings of wisdom are not opposed to either the prophets or the Torah (Law). As Proverbs endorses the fear of the Lord (1:7), so also it endorses divine revelation in the Scriptures. God’s Word means little if we are not obeying it
