Acts 17:1111 Now these [Jews] were better disposed and more noble than those in Thessalonica, for they were entirely ready and accepted and welcomed the message [concerning the attainment through Christ of eternal salvation in the kingdom of God] with inclination of mind and eagerness, searching and examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so. To Whom or What are you accountable to? Ask your self these questions:
1. Do you read and study the Bible daily?
2. Do you apply the truth revealed to your life immediately?
3. Do you submit your life to both Jesus the Living Word and the Bible which is the
Written Word?
4. When the Word is preached, sung or portrayed in the Arts, such as skits or dramas is your heart softened and is it responsive with action and not just emotion?
5. When you see a need do you seek God about how it might be met or do you ignore it?
6. Are you careful to eagerly receive and then check out the message of a speaker by the Word?
Are you Accountable and if so to whom or what?

I would have to say that the Jews that your christian bible speaks about that accepted "the message" were Jews that chose not to follow the ways of Torah. Just as Jews today that have been assimilated / married to nonjews. These Jews today - reform, conservative, secular Jews no nothing of their beautiful heritage. They do no know that G-d has commanded them to follow the ways of the gentiles and follow after their gods.
You ask if Christians read and study the Bible daily. I would venture to say that you mean the N.T. specifically - correct? This is a mistake. NonJews should start from the beginning. Learn the Jewish bible and learn it from an Orthodox Jew. 99.9% of nonjews do not know loshon kodesh, the Gemara, the Mishna etc... so they can not fully and correctly understand the Jewish bible. So learn from an orthodox Jew and not some man behind a pulpit that does not know loshon kodesh. Would you go to a plumber for heart surgery?
