The Great Assembly

God Calls a Part of the Great Assembly
Metaphor: Great Assembly
Concept: The Great assembly here is the entire nation of Israel, which Elohim has purchase and chosen from among all the nations and peoples of the earth. Upon whom He has set His divine seal or impress so that they might be in His likeness in all aspects.
Ps 26:12 My feet stand on level ground; in the great assembly I will praise the LORD.
Ps 35:18 I will give you thanks in the great assembly; among throngs of people I will praise you.
Ps 40:9-10 I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly;
I do not seal my lips, as you know, O Lord .
10 I do not hide your righteousness in my heart; I speak of your faithfulness and salvation.
I do not conceal your love and your truth from the great assembly.
Ps 82:1 God presides in the great assembly; he gives judgment among the "gods":  NIV

We who have been redeemed and purchased by the blood of the Lamb of God inherit this same status in even greater measure through God chosen messiah Jesus of Nazareth. The majesty, greatness and wonder of this truth, needs to be meditated upon. That God who has created and who sustains all existence has chosen us through His Son to be like Him, to share all that He is and has is something our minds dare even begin to comprehend, but it is our new reality when we come into the Kingdom of His Son.
We join that cloud of witnesses which is spoken of in Hebrews  12:1-2 THEREFORE THEN, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,

2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.  [Ps 110:1.] AMP
To begin to embrace this truth of being included in such an a Great Assembly we must look at Hebrews 11:1-3 for the comprehension of our minds is not enough we must act and embrace faith.
Heb 11:1-3 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses]. 2 For by [faith — trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible. AMP

Father God thank you for choosing us and honoring us to be a part of Your Great Assembly!
