Metaphor: The Flock of Inheritance

Concept: This aspect of those who are in the Flock of God speaks to the inheritance of those who belong to God’s Flock. This aspect of the teaching builds on yesterday’s teaching.
    

Micah 7:14, Rule and feed Your people with Your rod and scepter, the flock of Your inheritance who dwell alone in a forest in the midst of Carmel [a garden land]; they shall feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old. AMP

One of the shortsighted aspects of living today is a lack of understanding when it comes to the timeless nature of God and His promises and ways. We as the flock of God are included in His plans not just to bless us in the daily provision and care he has for us but to understand that he has already made a way for tomorrow. That there is a rich inheritance as a part of our relationship with Him and the verse below compares it to a private place of secure blessing comparative to the blessing the people of God had when the first went to Bashan and Gilead. A place of provision for every aspect of their being, which includes the Spiritual realm the soul realm (the mind will and emotions, and the physical realm. These are set apart for us by our Good Shepherd.

Thank you father God for your Inheritance that is set apart for us, not just in your care for me today, but in all my tomorrows.
